It puts a little toolbar on your browser, and you fill out what topics interest you (So you might pick art, photography, fashion and games to name a few) Then, when you're bored you click the 'Stumble' button that is on the toolbar and it takes you to a random site within the categories that you have chosen where you get to 'like' (want to see more like that) or 'dislike' (don't want to see more like that)
You can 'like' webpages that haven't been 'discovered' yet and then they get added into the database so that the next time someone stumbles they might come across the page that you discovered. This makes sense to me, but it's because I use it
Basically, it means that people who are interested in photography, games and art may happen across your page more than before
