I'm not sure about this new deviantart version, though I hated the old version and eventually got used to it after a couple of months...At least my main page looks mostly the same. I won't bother going on about it.

Leading Edge Video Gladstone is now ours, since the 18th of June :) There are a lot of things we still have to do, but it's getting there. It's mostly relying on other people and things at the moment...hopefully things should only get easier.
It's been good, and we're doing better than we expected too :)

I think that's all...

We don't have internet at work until next week. There was a mix up with the account as we didn't get a NEW account, we just applied to transfer the existing account into our name...a mistake...Since it takes at least 21 days to do that... (realistically though, it probably takes 15 minutes :P)

Ah well :)

Lately I've Been Busy!

Well, I've not been around much lately and unfortunately I haven't even been playing around with Photoshop like I usually do :p
I haven't actually had much time to do anything of anything, though I'm hoping that fairly soonish, that will change :)

The main reason for this lack of time anyway, is the fact that Michael and I are buying Leading Edge Video in Gladstone :) So, we've been working there/here to get to know how everything works. We should find out on Tuesday what is going to happen with loan repayments and stuff. So, most days we are working 9:30 to 8 or 9 (depending on the day) and then on Monday to Thursday, we clean the daycares after that (1 - 2 hours, depending on which day) We also have a couple of places we usually clean on Sundays, though today I'm at the shop on my own and Michael will clean those, as they don't take too long :)
Then, I've been playing Sims 2 when I get home x)

SO, we only have one, very crappy computer here. Eventually we will be bringing in one of ours temporarily until we can afford to buy one soley for the business. We'll have two computers then for when both of us are working :)! It's very exciting :)

P.S. There are some stray/feral cats that live behind the shop :) There is a lovely ginger tabby, and I've seen her/it with a smaller tabby and two or three little kittens ^_^ She's scared of us though :(





I'm also slightly obssessed with the Sweeney Todd soundtrack :) We watched it a couple of weeks ago, a preview of it anyway, it doesn't come out onto DVD until June or July (I forget)
It's kind of refreshing to have the songs actually as part of the story again, rather than just having a movie, with singing :)
My favourite songs keep changing all the time :P Nuff about that though :) P.P.S - I'm starting to realise that I'm quite a Tim Burton fan :p

Prints, Contests and Life Updates

I'd like to open by saying THANK YOU to *Pirate-Queen for gifting me with a print account, for winning her competition :) I've made the entry available for printing now, though I'm not sure I have too many more things that are quite good enough :) I'll keep it in mind for future artwork though :p If you do see any artwork you like, let me know and I'll see what I can do :)

For those who know ~Elysiann she's apparently had some computer issues and has not disappeared from the face of the earth :) I got a text this morning, but have no phone credit :p As usual :)





In life news, Michael and I are organising something exciting, though we're not getting our hopes up too much. (He isn't, I am :p)
I didn't get too many photos of the wedding that I liked :) The lighting at the reception was not that great for my lil old camera! Plus, I did not have a tripod :p It was lovely though, and most people seemed to have a good time. (Michael discovered that he likes Port ;p)


Also, :iconpiratequeen-stock: is holding another contest for those interested :)

Michael caught the garter at the wedding, before quickly throwing it in my lap, as he didn't want girl germs from his sister's thigh :)
Our town is apparently not as safe as I thought it was either, we've had a few tragedies.
We've also been affected by the rain! We had flash flooding last week, though it didn't last that long (a good thing!) The water still looks high in a lot of places though, apparently some turtles from the duck pond got displaced and were being found in people's yards afterwards :) *cute*

Also, Michael and I used to see a fox on the road, wandering when we used to go to work late at night. We hadn't seen it for a long time, but on Monday night we saw a fox lying in the road :( It was very sad, I used to look for it every time we went past that same area. (We don't see foxes very often around here, it's very exciting for me to see one :p I think they're cute :) :)

Thank you to my luffly *ElishaKelly aka ~Elysiann for the gift of CSS :) It's beautiful! (Even though I'm not 100% sure I've copy pasted it correctly yet :D I love it ^_^)

In other news, I've been a bit more active lately, in the artistic sense :) It's been very satisfying :D I'm hoping to do a photomanipulation of Delirium, the character from the Sandman comics by Neil Gaiman but I have yet to find the perfect subject :) No worries!
I've started working on another entry for *PirateQueen-Stock's competition but I don't know whether I'll finish it :)

I thought I'd do a feature of some artwork from my friends too. All of their work just keeps getting better, so if you've got a minute it would be lovely if you'd have a look at the couple of pictures I've selected.
